This is a slightly larger version of the Shaker cupboard design which has been inspired by an early nineteenth century Pennsylvanian antique. The original cupboards were designed to hang off wall mounted peg rails which typically ran the entire length of walls in communal rooms within Shaker homes.  Small enough to be placed almost anywhere and large enough to be substantially useful. Subtle ageing is applied which evokes the appearance of the original piece it has been based on.  It intentionally has the feel, overall aesthetic and patina of a handmade American piece of wall furniture, each cupboard is unique . It features two internal shelves.
 
The modest proportions of this cupboard mean that it can be mounted just about anywhere without it dominating a wall space. It is fixed by a steel mounting plate which is easily accessed making installation straight forward, it can be mounted on all types, customers need to source fixings suitable for their walls.
